I am Chandri Bhat, aged 78, a cook’s friend. Over the past 50 years, food and cooking has been one of the most important factors of my life. An interest kindled during my childhood, grew into a compelling romance with food and a rewarding and very enjoyable career without my planning or aiming for it. During these years, I had the opportunities to attend many cookery classes and workshops in India and many other countries, including Thailand, Paris and Middle East. In India, I taught cooking, offered consultancy to manufacturers of kitchen appliances and food products and to restaurants; did food reviews, food styling, cookery shows for TV channels and contributed articles and recipes to magazines and food portals. I enjoy interacting with people interested in cooking; whether a beginner or an expert.
Though this blog I will share my experience with you through recipes and helpful tips and strive to make cooking easy, satisfying and exciting. Hope you will try my recipes and give me your feedback. I would also like to hear your kitchen success stories or disasters and offer possible solutions. I will be glad to help with any particular recipe/recipes requested by you.
