Easy Brownies

True to its name, this recipe is super easy to make.

Ingredients
  • Butter 180gm
  • Cocoa powder 3tablespoon
  • All-purpose flour (Maida) 150gm
  • Baking powder ¾ teaspoon
  • Powdered sugar 300gm
  • Eggs 3
  • Vanilla extract 2teaspoon or
  • Vanilla essence 1teaspoon
  • Chopped walnuts 100gm

Step 1

Melt butter over moderate heat. Add cocoa powder. Heat until it begins to sizzle. Switch off the heat and leave aside to cool.

Step 2

Grease a 20-22 cm square pan with butter. Line the base with butter paper and grease the paper. Preheat the oven to 190C. (I use Panasonic OTG).

Step 3

Mix together Maida, powdered sugar (I powder the sugar in Panasonic super mixer-grinder) and baking powder.
Add the cooled butter-cocoa mixture and vanilla extract or essence. Beat for 1 minute. Add the maida-sugar mix and beat on low speed till the dry ingredients are evenly mixed in. Stir in ½ the nuts. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.

Step 4

Sprinkle remaining nuts on top and bake till done, about 25 minutes.

Step 5

Cool and cut into desired number of pieces.
